Does anyone think that paypal's fees are getting too high? |
|
i think that paypals fees are getting way too high, i mean i had a deposit in my paypal today for thirty-five dollars and it took almost two dollars out of that, because it was from a person, i know that it doesn't take out if its from an established business but what about when we aren't getting money from an established business? does anyone else feel the way that i do and think that paypal should really lower their fees or am i the only way that feels like this and what are some other payment methods...i think that i have heard of e-gold or something like that, do you know any good ways that don't take out such a high fee that a lot of people pay by?

I, too, have a free account where all my online earnings go, but I also have a premier account for if I do any ebay auctions which has been very very inactive for several months Mooch

3. oneandonemakesix (24158) | 3 months ago | I have to say that I agree with you that PayPal which is ebay owned is getting to expensive, and I have to say right now that being owned by Ebay its understandable, they are in it to make money too....and every transaction adds up, to bad they shut themselves out of the PTC business. there are a lot of e-gold type online payments, but I am not thrilled with those and being a US member I have shied away from them. You have money bookers, and Alert Pay, Alert Pay is about equal to paypal fees, maybe a little cheapr, I don't have any good words to say on a better online service but you are not alone thinking PayPal is getting too greedy. Perhaps if you don't use it unnecessarily you won't be affected so much by its fees. I am still a free user, I only use whatever I have earned online, so I do not have to pay a single cent for its services, besides, I only used it twice to buy stuffs from ebay.

7. chrislotz (4528) | 1 month ago | I use my paypal account for collecting money from sites like mylot and survey sites and paid to read email sites and I have never been charged a fee for getting my money. I guess it is because they are established businesses as you say. I wouldn't be getting money from anywhere else but an established business. I wait till I have at least $50 in my paypal account before I withdraw it and I only get charged 50 cents for the withdrawl no matter how much my withdrawl is. So I don't quite understand why you say their fees are so high when they aren't for me. Or is it different depending on where you live, in which country you live in?
