Dress code for office ladies

I think a nice below the knee dress would be more appropriate or a blouse and a decent skirt but shouldnt that be the bosses decission? I would think that if the boss says its okay then that should be that!

Had to look up baboosh and if am right it is a type of shoe and if it is a show they had open toe and closed ones and ones here in the states we call flip flops. As for the T-Shirt there are so many now days that are very nicely made so is really hard to judge it not seeing what it looks like. Did she have a skirt on or pants? Did the bodd have a problm with what she was wearing? Does she deal with the public or just sit at the computer typing? As for a dress code office or not it really depends on the type of business. If it was a Lawyers office you would expect to see office people in nice skit top,dresses or nice slacks and blouse. But if it is a Warehous jeans, t-shirts or even a nice shirt even in the office. Really depends on the type of business. Also depends on what the company policies are.

I am always open to a relaxed dress code, but I know the girl I share an office with wears some things that should never be in an office. It is my understanding that our board of directors do not like the way she dresses and I suppose it will work out. I just worry about me and I always dress professionally, I am the one that does the networking anyway.
I think that in an office, your parts should be covered, and look nice and neat.

hi, lynettebyc. i think a decent dress is necessity for our office workers. as you know, in the office or during the business travel, the workers image is also the company's image. i can not imagine what will a business cooperator think about it if he see the lady you mentioned above in her office.

I cant understand your problem. You say the person who wore that stuff sits in the office and works with a computer. So who besides boss and coworkers see her?

I dont have any problems with my coworkers attire. luckily we dont have a dress code so everyone can wear what he or she thinks is appropriate.
Most of the time I am wearing jeans and a t shirt or in wintertime sweatshirt. My clothes are clean, they are ironed and what else do you want.

Usually each office has its own dress code! She should be given the code when she starts working, if not before!

I have no idea what that is that you are describing but I do feel that there is appropriate office wear. If women want to be taken seriously then maybe they should start dressing to BE taken seriously. If you dress like a 'hoochie' then you may just be treated like on! Easy enough logic behind that, don't you think?

Hi! I guess it really depends but if it was me and my job is staring at the computer screen all day then Id prefer my dress code to be in my jammies.LOL or something thats very comfortable. but since companies are trying to be formal and business-like I guess the company dress code would be alright as long as employees could still move in them and not be restricted by their clothing. Frankly, if I was the boss, I wouldnt care what my employees wear to work as long as they are decent and presentable to even the most meticulous of clients. I guess its just a matter of taste and preference..

Well, firstly Lynette, I would like to ask you whether there are any rules and regulations on what the general staff of your office, including you, have to wear. If there are such rules in place, then I must say it's totally unfair of the lady to flout those rules just because she enjoys the additional privilege of being the administrative assistant of the boss. It only shows her arrogance. However, if there aren't any fixed rules on this matter, then, of course, I can't blame her for wearing what she pleases to wear, as also you are entitled to wear anything of your choice. Do reply.
