I am using an Asus A6 laptop and I don't have problems with it. I installed 2 pcs of 1 gig memory ram and it's fast now. I am planning to upgrade my hard disc but I don't know if I really need it yet.

kidjuwee (286) | 1 month ago | hi, you should buy now, laptops are a fad now. And they have become cheap too because there are too many brands already. I sell laptops on Ebay too. So I know how much they can costs. Buying second hand laptops is okay too, it doesn't have to be brand new to enjoy it. And sometimes older computers are more durable than new ones. hehe. but that's rare. My only problem with using my laptop is that I don't have a desk or table here in my bed.

2. amitavroy (3161) | 1 month ago | right now I have a compaq laptop. It is good but I am not a fully happy with that. And one of the biggest problem with the laptop is that it doesn't feel that rough and tough when you are using it. They look very delicate and there is a lot of heating problem with these laptops. My dad has a dell laptop and let me tell you there is one hell of a laptop. I have never seen in heating problem with those laptops and they are very studied to use you never feel that there will be some problem using the keyboard of the laptop etc etc. When laptop is already more than a year old and so I am already planning to change it with a new Dell laptop.

kidjuwee (286) | 1 month ago | Maybe you need to use like a notebook cooler or some fans for laptops. My laptop gets too hot too before I used a notebook cooler which I bought for only about $4. I haven't tried any Dell laptops but I think they can be expensive too. I am happy with my Asus, I think a laptop or notebooks life depends upon the lcd. If something is wrong with your lcd and if it's starting to crack then you have a problem. It's also good to have a good screen protector for laptops screens, that's what I will buy soon.

| 4. bucketosand (73) | 1 month ago | I have a HP laptop and I love it. I chose them because they seem to offer the best upgrades for the lowest prices. I got it a little over a year ago, I got 2 gigs duo, 2 gigs of ram, 100gb hdd and the bigger battery. the bigger battery not only gets twice the storage, but also props the computer up a bit to allow for better ventilation under there (it does get pretty hot). The only problem I had was the motherboard had a recall on it and it failed on my over the winter, but I was able to keep my original hdd so nothing was lost besides some time with my new main computer

5. neuronic (341) | 1 month ago | I own DELL precision M60 laptop. I had DELL's Inspiron 8200 but unfortunately after 5 years the LCD started flickering and there was no solution to it, I had to buy a new one. But my dad had Precision M60 and he said he can give it to me, so I said that will do. Also I'm using external LCD, so I have two desktops. It's easier for work (one screen is code and one screen is the result). I also installed some extra RAM to it, because I'm running some stuff and it would work much slower if I didn't. I am very satisfied but I'm already thinking about buying PC, because I want to use this computer mainly for presentations and work outside my standard place. When it comes to the HD, i recommend you to buy 2x 500GB external or 1T external. You will solve your space problems for quite some time I believe... Here in Japan you can buy 500GB for around $400 and 1T for about $700. Just have to know where to look.

6. yukiyoh1105 (176) | 1 month ago | I owned ACER Aspire4520. I bought it last January before going abroad. I haven't seen any problems as of now, and I'm still enjoy using it. The specifications are just right for me that's why I chose that model.

7. applefreak (1123) | 4 weeks ago | i am using an apple macbook pro now. i can't begin to say how much i like it. it basically does everything i want and more. it's really one of the best in the world if not the best. it's fast enough for me although i've only got a pc of 1gb and a pc of 512mb. i have no plans to upgrade the hard disc. however, i do want to get an external hard disc to backup my files. it's good to backup files instead of storing them all on the laptop only. cheers;p
