Ways to keep your kids Hydrated | | Water is said to be the source of all life. That is true especially for babies and children. Even inside a mother's womb, water helps cool core body temperature, protecting the fetus from excessive heat during pregnancy. And did you know that children are more vulnerable to the effects of dehydration than adults? Kid's bodies overheat more frequently because even though they have a lower capacity for sweat, their hydration needs are not that different from adults. As such, parents and yaya's should encourage children especially active ones to drink often. Aside from serving water during mealtimes, we should teach the child how to drink water even before he gets thirsty. WHile they are playing, they should be given water every 15 to 20 minutes. Here are some other tips to maintain proper hydration at home; 1. Keep track of how many glasses of water your kid's drinks in a day. Ideally, you should follow the 8 glasses rule. 2. Pack bottled water in your kid's lunch box. Since they can be physically active in school. It will come in handy. 3. Serve juice and milk, they are the next best alternative to water. Even shakes, popsicles, chocolate milk and drinkable yogurts provide decent hydration. 4. Treat your kid's to water-filled fruits like watermelons, grapes and oranges are packed with flavor and full of water. 5. Start and end the day with water. Water is lost during sleep so make sure your kid's drinks something before bed time and when they wakes. Hope it benefits us. Have a good day.

It is good to set a routine for waking and going to bed, to at least drink a little bit of water. It is good to keep the system flushed also.
