Picking Late At Night

It sounds like you are as great a Uncle as you are a Grandpa and a dad not to mention a friend. There are some people who would not allow anyone much less kids pick things in their gardens. I love watching kids admire the small things in life.

I don't really have a garden worth sharing. No green thumb here but luckily my grandma shares hers with me. Her thumb is all shades of green so I can get some fresh veggies and some pretty flowers any time I want.:)

I can share some of my cuttngs if my friends or relatives will visit! I do nothave have much to share because my plants can not be eaten except the okra which do have have flowers yet and the bell pepper which we already pick last week.

That was awfully nice of you to share your bounty with family members. Makes you feel so good too. I like to share my bounty with family as well. They don't even have to come from any distance. If I have, then I will share. It's the thing to do, especially with family, and friends.

Wow, that was cool Grandpa B..I know you made them happy with what they got from your garden..LOL! I have friends who often visit us but this time, we are having okra and cucumber only, she don't eat any of those, So, I can't share it..
She is for sure waiting for our Melon..LOL! I am excited too!

That is probably a memory that your great-neice will remember for the rest of her life.

I plan to have a nice garden next year and will share it with my family when they visit from Arizona and Florida. My two little tomato plants are getting very tall! That's all I have to boast about this year.

I do not have a garden, and when I did there was time for planting as I was working full time

As you know, Grandpa Bob, I don't have a garden. I do have the blackberries around the perimeter of the property, and some flowers that comes up there also, but that is all. If I did have family come I would go all out for them, even if I don't have a garden. You are such a great uncle.. you're just a great person Grandpa... and I love hearing stories like this one.

Oh how sweet! It must be nice to have something in the garden to share with family! We moved in late May and got our garden in quite late at the new house so there is nothing to pick as yet! I would love to have some family to visit us and perhaps we will soon. My oldest son visited soon after we moved in when we were still living out of boxes. Perhaps the next time he visits it will be more enjoyable for him. In the past we have always had quite a bountiful garden and I take bags of extras to work and give it away. I hope to be able to do that soon with our new garden at our new house.
