Is your parent lenient or strict?

My parent are neither too strict nor too lenient, they strike a good balance between the both. They have given me freedom to a large extent but it is my responsibility not to misuse this freedom as liberty.

My parents were very strict, I was not allowed to do anything and there was very rarely a compromise for anything that I wanted to do. I know now that my parents just were doing what they thought was the best for me, but at the time I resented the way they treated me so much that I just went off the rails.

I always swore that I would never be like them, and I am not. I am firm with my children, will not tolerate bad manners or bad behaviour but I compromise with them and I always allow them a decision in their own futures.

My father was strict still my college days and mother was lenient then and even now. But now my father is more friendly after I got a job and started becoming much lenient.

Hi saivenkaat802003! My mother is very cool but my father is very strict. haha..So, when my brothers and I would attend parties, we ask permission form our mom and if we need extra money, we ask from our mom too. However, my mom will usually say, let me ask your father first but she usually wins. haha..Both are kind but my mother is very sweet unlike my father who is so stiff. However, when my father became a grandfather, everything changed, at least some. He became cool with his grandchildren and he laughs a lot in every little antics my nieces and nephews do. I do think that I have both characteristics of my parents. I am very sweet with my nieces and nephews and give them everything they want as long as they are good! haha..I am strict in such a way that they can't mess with me or the elders of the family. They are spoiled since they are the babies of the entire clan. So they are used to getting what they want from all of my aunts who remained single until this time. But they fear me, at least that is what I know! haha..

Hi saivenkaat, to many people, in a family, father always is the strict one whereas mother is welcomed by the kids as she is always kind, caring and lenient. Mine is totally different. I have a strict mother who likes us to do our tasks according to her schedule strictly. She likes and she wants us as well to keep all the stuffs in the house orderly. She lives a simple and thrifty life. Of course my mom had instilled lots of moral values into our mind and cultivated us with many good habits since our childhood.

My father is a cheerful and easy going person. We feel more relaxed and pleasant to get along with him. When we were kids, during his spare time he liked to take us out to enjoy our favorite food in the coffee shop, where he could meet his friends and had a long chatting there. After that he often took us to the nearby recreation park. He was our hero and would always occur whenever we were punished by our mom during my childhood. He was always ready to come forward to rescue us at anytime lol...

my mother is not that strict. but she is kinda conservative. when i was in high school, she never let me spend a night on any of my friend's house. one time i did, i got a nasty morning lecture from her the moment i got home.>. < she also doesn't want me to stay up too late on school dances then. she never lets me go when i am alone. i can only go if my bestfriend was with me or another friend. but she's only all talk. i always go against her words. i'm that stubborn.^__^;; she never hit me and any of my siblings. and that's why we respect her. but she had this tendency to spoil her children and grandchildren that's why i think my oldest and youngest sister got married early without finishing their studies and most of the time they are dependent on my mother. some of my mother's grandchildren are also spoiled brats. spoiled by her. they are too lazy and they always ask my mother for money and they never do good with their studies. all her sermons are always gone with the wind.

I just predict the behaviour of my parents sometimes they seem to be very lenient and sometimes they just scold me for silly things and be strict in that, they never send me outside they never allow me to goto friends home they never just trust to send me anywhere in this planet i dont think they are lenient parents in these things, they get me things which are very necessary for me like studies etc my parents does and still now they have raised me and still im depending on them.. well if i ask something they get me if if its really worth it in those ways they are okie... from this i can conclude that they are strict but not to the extreme condition
