I know that there are some not so bright people in the world but anyone who takes a dead rat and places it in restaurant food and then demands money I really think has a few screws loose.
When the restaurant turned the rat over to their insurance company, and how they determined this, that the rat was a white labratory rat, and then the woman was arrested and charged with one felony count of extortion.
Further tests showed that there was a possibility that the rat was microwaved adn teh restaurant ( an upscale restaurant) does not use microwaves.
This is about as bad as a story that I read of a couple who put maggots in their food and got comped their meal (after they had eaten half their salads they find the worms or bugs) and then they left their purse behind with the ocntainer of bugs in their foods.
has anyone done anything so stupid in your are in trying to get money?
Incidents like this could reallly give a restaurant a bad name

I've heard of people doing things like that all of the time, and it amazes my brain every time. I think a lot of them are just out to get a free meal and maybe some extra money from suing the restaurants. I love it when they get busted.

excellent reputatio for their food and when I was in the mall I used to eat lunch there allthetime. not long after that womans shennigans they move out and some other really expensive
restaurant moved in in the same place. I dont know if that womand phoney complaint had anything to do with El Torrito moving away or not. I was really angry with her for doing something so stupid and I suppose a lot of ignorant people would quit going to
that restaurant just because of the publicity that stupid woman got. too bad they had to blow it all up then finally said the woman did it herself. by then the harm was done. | |
