Is caffeine good for health?  | | I use to see in television commercial that caffeine is good for our health. I was confuse because one my officemate says that caffeine is bad for our health. Would please help me because I am really confuse now.

For some people stimulants can be good and in others they are bad. I drink a lot of soda and yes to a degree I can and will say that I'm addicted to it (one of the bad sides to any drug), but I love my soda and I'm not really willing to give it up even though I know that the side effects are not good for me. Caffeine doesn't help my eczema at all! I just bought some at the store so I wouldn't have to leave the house to get it which means I'm drinking more or it and my skin is responding very badly. I know I shouldn't have bought it but I did and now I have to deal with the consequences. I little doesn't bother me but a lot does. If you do drink or eat things with caffeine in them pay attention to how your body responds. Some people just feel more alert, some get very hyper and some have hot flashes (their body becomes very warm for a short time), while some people will notice their heart races. Caffeine is also a diuretic, meaning it will make you go to the bathroom a lot. So if you drink or eat a lot of things with caffeine you will have to increase your water intake also. You can search for caffeine on Google and read the many reports for yourself to find out what other medical uses there are for caffeine and get the factual information on the good and the bad effects and make the choice for yourself.

Though I drink caffeine everyday I don't think it is good for me. My doctor always told me not to drink it while pregnant and when you look at a lot of illnesses they say to not drink caffeine to help. I think that small doses will not hard you like a cup of coffee a day. But if you are downing a couple pots a day then it may affect you negatively. Too much of anything is not good for anyone.
