Who Washes your Clothes?

Haha.. I'm 24 and my mommy is still washing my clothes.

my mother and the nanny of my son wahses our closethes every sunday. its our rest day and i take care of my son while they are washing the clothes.

I hope you are proud of yourself for being lazy. Is it a good feeling to be amused that you use your mother and grandmother and treat them like doormats? Shame on you.

Yea. I like my granny's way too. The clothes she washed are just so clean and smell so nice.

Well my house is 4 stories. The bedrooms where most of the dirty clothing is - is on the 3rd floor. The laundry room is on the first. So it is a lot of carrying up and down stairs but good excersize!

You can start by separating the clothes and hand washing those more expensive clothes.

I have 3 laundry baskets sitting in our upstairs hallway outside the bedrooms. One is white, for whites that are bleachable (mostly sports socks and underwear, all white t-shirts). One is green for coloured items, and one is blue for darks. All shades of blue are considered dark because I then separate the darks into two different loads - darks and light darks (light blues and grey). The colours also get separated - one load is pink/purple/red/orange, another is yellow/light green/beige and some multi-colours if they are not dominated by red, pink or purple; and another load is unbleachable whites which consists of my daughters Taekwondo uniform, bras, camis, t-shirts with pictures on them and some sweatshirts and hoodies which are predominantly white but have other colours on them.

I take my laundry seriously (see my post, page 8 or 10 or somewhere around there).

That's a good way of separating.

I know what you mean. Guys tend to be lazier and they do not separate the different type of clothes.

When my father passed away suddenly, I had to go stay at my mother's for a week with my family as we made funeral arrangements. I attempted to get some laundry done before leaving. I realized I didn't have time and left with a load in the dryer and another basket sitting nearby to be washed. Neither my husband or kids touched the darn things in a whole week!

When I was in hostel in University, I washed my own clothes too. But I washed using washing machine.

Another option is to get a wife who knows to wash it for you.

that could backfire! what if i had to wash hers too???

If she's as lazy as I am, that possibility is high.

Yea. When I was in hostel, I'll also bring home clothes which I do not know how to wash (ie.. those which cannot be machine washed) for my mommy to wash.
