BOLLYWOOD - Why are we in the Western World watching more Bollywood films?  | |  I used to watch Bollywood films on TV when I was a teenager back in Ireland. I remember stars like Amitabh Bachchan and the Kapoor brothers. I think my Irish friends would be surprised if they knew that I was a Bollywood fan. Years have passed since then and now I see there is a worldwide explosion of interest in Bollywood films with new stars like Shahrukh Kahn and Aishwarya Rai. Can anybody tell me why Bollywood has become so popular?
