Picture Question: What do you think?

Even though it's bnot quite the right style buggy I'm used to seeing, I think of the Amish people we see everyday on their way to the store or their relatives homes. I can picture the little faces of the children peeking out the back window.

What goes clip clop, clip clop, clip clop, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh, clip clop, clip clop, clip clop?

Answer: Amish drive by shooting!

Sorry, in a weird mood tonight and that's the first thing that popped into my head.

I think of the Illustrados, or high society people of the mid1900s in the Philippines. They are a little taller than the natives, a little fair of skin, wearing European Style clothing trying to imitate what might be worn in Spain to add class or distinction. They're rocking along the rough pavement of tightly packed dirt or roads of cement, probably on a tour of the walled inner city in Manila called Intramuros or going from it to the University of Santo Tomas (St Thomas). They look out the window to find a bustling metro filled with brown skinned natives bartering with chinese or halfchinese vendors and the ocassional civil guard with their clean, crisp uniform and fearful authority or a random priest or being fawned over by pious old ladies. a poor old horseman wearing a straw hat against the tropical heat at the front end of the ornately designed cab gently guides the horse through the traffic making good time for the price of a few pesos that may just feed his children left at home after he pays the taxes or pay his debts and tributes to the church so that his son need not serve as a sacristan or that her only daughter doesn't need to leave home to serve a wealthy family that would treat her just like another piece of dirt or a fat imperious priest who would require something a bit more than he would like to think of.

uhm, so that's my story of it.

I think it is a very nice picture,and when it I see it,I think of a nice spring day, where it is sunny,but not too hot,and a man and a woman are going for a ride through a park for a romantic date,where when they get to the park,the man proposes to the woman,and then they kiss,so I agree the picture is very romantic,and I wish there were still horse drawn carriages around.
