If I don't give a best response mark, would you still respond to my posts?

Pretty much same here, Neil. I always give positive rate to my responders except for some very remote cases where one gave a nonsense reply.

Thats how I feel too neildc...It doesn't matter to me if I get a best response, I just try to be honest, and respond to discussions that I can relate to myself. I try to give ratings to everyone too, but sometimes I forget.

Hi Walijo, thanks for your kind response. Although it's nice to receive a pencil every once and a while but for me they are just accessories. I find more satisfaction with the thought of sharing what I know, getting answers to my questions and learning new things from other people like you.

You're right. There are some discussions where I don't want to give the pencil to just one person because others also deserve it. It's a tough decision sometimes, you know?

I also find it bothersome to participate in a discussion where the starter doesn't even give it a damn to comment back.

Quite a few people in my friends list I have found do not respond to comment left for them.
So I have stopped responding to their discussions.
This is a discussion forum, so how can we have dicussions if the poster does not respond to us.

Same here. I think I can count with my fingers and toes how many in my friends' list are interactive. I have been thinking of sorting my friends' list lately but I haven't found enough time yet.

Well, so far I already got an idea who they are. I really like it when I get a good responder like you. Discussions become more lively, interesting and meaningful.

A few of my friends and myself used to take almost the entire page with our comments.
We just kept going for hours.
It was so much fun doing that.

I know what you mean Goodie. For me when I get active discussions they are worth far more than receiving the best response mark.
Regretfully though I am not very much active here on mylot lately because I'm busy with my project. But still I can't get away from mylot too long. I need to check once in a while to get back to people who respond to my discussions.
I really like it when a thread builds up because it means that I'm talking with sense. LOL!

I am worse, Paid2write. I started discussions more than a year ago and it's only a a few weeks ago when I finally gave a it a time to choose the best response. Sometimes though I have to wait for ages to get a satisfactory answer.
Oops yesterday I gave out a best response right after the first responder answered my querry. It's not because he was the first. He gave the right one and that's it.

Honestly sometimes I check if the best response is already given away and then I'd walk away from that discussion. But that is a case to case basis. If the discusion is a question and the best answer is already given which is also going to be my answer then I wouldn't waste time to give the same answer.

But most of the time I respond to posts even after the best response has been given away. I think it doesn't matter anyway and we still get points ($$) anyway.
