Hi pukaprat2, According to a BBC report President Bush made this statement during a meeting with Palestinian leaders in June of 2003. I read a comment about it, so I just googled and read the article. What's said and what is reported is not always the same. Blessings.

I know this sounds a little silly but I think I'm starting to feel exceedingly sorry for God. Sure, I know God is supposed to be all-knowing and all-powerful etc but so many people, all of them probably criminally insane, are claiming that God speaks to them and that when you start asking them about their awful actions, they tell you that God told them to do it ..therefore, they're not responsible - blame it on God.

Do I sound crazy here? Well, take a look at the "War on Terror." Osama attacks the USA because he claims that he was acting on behalf of God. Bush invades Afghanistan and Iraq and claims that God is right behind him. Now we have the the insurgents shooting at GIs in both places and they think they are doing God's work. What actually happened. Plenty of people died and are still dying but when you talk to the men in charge, they say they talked to God - "I'm just following orders."

Of course, God is particularly busy in the Middle East. Israel is supposed to be God' s Land, so the Israelites are technically only God's tenants. But the Palestinians also claim to have God on their side. To be fair to the Israeli's and Palestinians, they weren't the only ones claiming to be God's agents - look up the Crusades.

Did anyone think of asking God what he actually thinks about all of this? I know I've not actually spoken to God but I'm sure he would be laughing at all the psychopaths claiming to be his agents if people weren't actually dying in his names. Perhaps God should personally intervene and retake control of his brand name. Nobody would be allowed to use the words GOD, HEAVEN or HELL without paying God his dues. That way, humankind might actually develop a responsible bone its body ....now that would be an idea.

Yeah lots of people use God as an excuse what whatever they what, pretty sad.

George W. Bush had a number of nations supporting him and the votes of congress in regard to going in to Iraq,their was plenty of butt's in, that boat.
