Is kissing and smooching among siblings okay?  |

 I have watched in many television serials sibling kissing each other on the lips and I somewhat feel awkward about it. Do you think it is okay for sibling to smooch? Is kissing considered sexual in any way or is it just a way to greet each other? Should kissing on lips be treated same as giving a peck on the cheek? What do you think?

I believer showing affecting around my family to show that we do really love each other and that we really do want to be with each other... I'm going to say yes is they are just smooches and kisses and not making out.. I do it all the the time around my parents becuase i wanns show them the that i really wanna be with my husband since we only been married for three months and only knew eath other 5months before we got married

I think that's fine as long as your intention is to show love, not sexual desire. That's what my comment if I see such thing. But to me, well, I can't make it as kissing on my lips will absolutely raise my sexual desire. If only on the cheek that's okay, because I also do that to my mom everyday, to show how I really love her.

I consider smooching something on a whole other level that would only be done by people that are in a romantic relationship. However I am not sure if in some place of the world it may be an acceptable practice to kiss on the lips. But in the US, I don't think its a normal practice and I can't say that I have seen that on TV or in person. | |

Kissing on the lips should never be treated the same as a peck on the cheek. They are two different things and invoke two different feelings.

I disagree...the ONLY way they would bring on different feelings IMO is if the person doing the pecking has different thoughts in their mind which is something I personally would be concerned about....I can give a guy friend a kiss on the mouth (a peck) and have it be NO DIFFERETN to giving them a kiss on the cheek...there is no "different" feeling...its just a friendly peck..no more no less..

I have two brothers whom I love dearly. I would hurl and blow chunks if I were to even accidentally kiss them on the lips. I would scrub my lips with bleach and amonia, wash my mouth out with iodine and run screaming to the doctor for antibiotics, technus shots, and pain killers if I even accidentally kissed either of them on the lips.
Thats where I stand on kissing siblings on the mouth. YUCK!!!!

| Ravenladyj (14869) | 3 months ago | For me personally I feel as you do...MIND YOU I dont get along with my brother or sister really..HOWEVER I have no issues with siblings giving each other a peck on the mouth...To me its really not that different to giving your child a peck on the mouth...My son is almost 15 and he still gives me a peck on the mouth as does my 13 yr old daugher...Do I think its for everyone? no of course not, like I said its totally not for me BUT I realize that some siblings are like that and thats fine with me...In fact I THINK on occasion my kids peck each other on the mouth but its rare.. | |
