Some people are SO ridiculous  | |  Okay I am officially mad and have a rant coming on. Im 18 years old right (not that that has much to do with it) anyway at my job, me being the youngest, I always get the crappy shifts no one wants, or pretty much get the sh*t end of the stick. Not like they're any older then me, it goes from 19 to 22 to 25 and so on. I am probably more responsible then half of them there anyways. But I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, and Im not doing to well with the meds and stuff. Some people take it better then others, but Im already so small that the medicine is taking a toll on me. I can barely stay awake for more than an hour and a half at a time because my medicine makes me sleep. So its either be pain free and sleepy or in pain and awake. I cant open my mouth to much cause theres alot of pressure on my stitched. So on so forth I bet you get the idea. Anyways, my boss last week said "i know you booked these days off but I need you so.." She although I booked that week off a month in advance she rebooked me for saturday (4 hours) and sunday (5 hours) At first I didnt think itd be a big deal, I didnt know what to expect in the srugery. But theres no way I can do that, not while on this medicine. I already passed out today and I cant stay awake for certan periods of times. So my mom went and told her I couldnt do it (my moms friends with her and works in the mall to) and she actually got mad at her. Talk about immature, I thought it was pretty disrespectful to give me no choice in the first place of working right after getting surgery WHICH i booked off a month in advance, but she had the nerve to throw a little hissy fit "WELL THEN i guess i only have 2 people on that day" which isnt a big deal since they do that all the time. Im just mad, you woulda thought that after all I do for them theyd give me the respect of letting me rest after surgery, considering the day I got my surgery was my first day off in 3 weeks, But no. Im deffinately in the market for a new job, just because Im younger should mean NOTHING.

I mean, obviously someone whos 30 will be given more responsibility then someone whos 18, just assuming the older you are the more responsible you are. Which isnt always true. Most of the time shes awesome, but shes never had the procedure done, so who does she think she is telling me I should be okay by then? | |

You should look for another job because I would not stand working for someone like that. You deserve to be respected and not treated like that. I mean what if you passed out while working? I would have quit on the spot if I was her, theres no way I would let a diner job jeopardize my health, it wouldnt be worth it. I hope that boss got in some sort of trouble over that, that acctually makes me really mad hearing that although im not involved, wow. Whether or not its a major surgery, even being sedated alone takes alot out of you. | |
