Do you have an abusive husband?

My oldest daughter was in a physically abusive relationship, however, she was one of the smart ones, and all it took was having to call the paramedics and police once, she filed charges and never saw him again. I was going through a time of leaving my ex-husband, and she said something to me that made me think. And showed me that I needed to end a 16 year marriage. She told me that I was just as bad off as she was, no he never hit me, but that mental abuse was just as bad if not worse than physical abuse. The day she put it to me like that, he was sitting right there too. And I guess I had never looked at like that because he had never hit me physically. But, yes it hurts, and can be worse than physically being hit. I spent over a year on my own before I met a wonderful, amazing man, we have been together over 3 years.
