breaking up while in a long distance relationship |
|
i know of a person who has been with his girlfriend for almost 7 years now. just a year or so, his girlfriend went abroad to work. we thought their relationship was OK but all of sudden, we heard that they've been having problems and that the guy is starting to like another girl. he tells some common friends that they've already broke up. would you consider this broke up really ending the relationship? like it's all over between the two of you? or what?

1. joliefille (1348) | 3 months ago | That is very sad. I understand it's very hard to be in a relationship like that, the other person being far away. But 7 years is such a long time already for him to be tempted with some other girl. If the guy has told some common friends they've broken up then I think it is really over between them. I know of a friend of mine who was in the same situation. She and her ex-husband, broke up while she was working in Australia and the guy was left with their little son. It was my friend who broke it off.

Maybe due to longing to each other both of them succumb to the temptation of flesh and have an illicit affair. At first they consider it as fly by night affair and agreed to have a no commitment relationship. But as time passes by, each relationship grown into something intimate that both of them cannot detach it anymore. And so they ended up living separate lives. Lesson learned here? just be careful with the long distance relationship because it usually destined to end up with not so a happy ending.
