Did Diet for a New America Change Your Life?  | |  I was already vegetarian, but not vegan when I read this book. It really helped to get me thinking on a lot of issues though. If I ever wanted to eat meat, I no longer only thought about the animals, but also about the environment and my health. I've been vegan now for about 7 years and feel pretty darn good.
I find it fascinating how John Robbins gave up one great wealth for another (that I'm sure he didn't expect when he started). I have even gone to see him speak a few times. I think he is a very inspirational man.
