What do you do to stop a quarrel?

I will do someting to stop the quarrel:
1. to be calm,don't say anyting that will hurt another one.
2.to find the reason why the quarrel bagin,then we can solve it.
3.to be tolerant,think the thing at the place of another.

I'd rather keep quiet than argue with my partner because talking at the same time with something that you dont agree could even lead to a worse matter.

well just sit down and talk about it.,..listen to each other. compromise and remember love!

Indeed quarrel/misunderstanding between partners is inevitable.For me once the tone of my partner's voice got a bit higher than the normal,i stop.I would never add or say something that may worsen the situation.Leave him until the pressure had cool down.Sometimes keeping one's mouth shut is better than fighting for what you believed in,specially if the other party starts to blow his top.

I usually go away from the place for a few minutes which gives me time to think and stay calm.If I stay there the quarrel will only increase

I figure out how important the quarrel is. If I can measure it up against something that is of great importance and it is lacking then I let it end. For example, if my husband and I are arguing over who gets to make a decision on what we are going to watch on television, I ask myself, "what would I do tomorrow if he were dead". So it tells me that it isn't really that important. Just let it go. If it is going to affect someone with life or death, then it is worth quarreling over. Most things are stupid and don't need to be quarreled over.

To stop a quarrel i will avoid back answering. Apart from that a will calmly try to think of the reason of the quarrel and try to solve it. (I must say that generally this does not happen).
