Arrogance and Inexperience Could Be Very Costly!

So it seems as if we are dealing with a war for 4 more years with the Republicans and 16 months with the Democrats.

We have been at war FAR TOO LONG

Too much money has been spent on what? Trying to help another country reach democracy? Did they ask for our occupation of their country?? Doesn't America need to be thought about? At least Democrats want to use American money to help Americans....the Republicans take it and invest in other countries....Well, if our country falls apart due to neglect (which it is doing right now) how do these investments even help us? We are destroying our world image and we are neglecting the citizens that the Government was built to protect.

As usual, Obama has yet another 'plan' that really isn't a plan at all. I wish he'd do some fact-findings before opening his mouth about something he doesn't know anything about.

The thing is that by announcing a timetable for withdrawal just means that the people we are fighting will stop and wait us out.

Then, after we leave they will resume fighting... and they will have regrouped and rearmed. Iraq may or may not be able to defend against these renewed attacks.

The fact that Obama and the rest of the liberals don't understand this very basic concept is both appalling and indicative of their naivety when it comes to foreign policy and how wars are won.

The same thing happened in Vietnam when we left before finishing the job.

Obama has also said that he would go back to Iraq if it was necessary... so why not finish what we started while we are there and winning?

I agree with you that Obama could, and probably would, create a big international mess and would be a serious threat the the security of the USA if he gets into office. I have always believed that Obama is a big Muslim sympathizer, or possibly even a member of Islam himself, and it would be a great service to Allah for him to hand over Iraq to al Quaida. I realize this is a bold statement, but no less so than the bold and arrogant statements Obama is making.

I have writen in an earlier discussion that a timetable withdraw amount the the same effect as frying an ice cube, it will melt before our eyes. Obama's hubris will be his down fall, let us just hope that, that down fall comes before November. If one is not willing to consider the fact on the ground in the decision to remove troop from Iraq is just absurd at best and asinine at worse. How someone without a minute of military judgment can make a decision of this magnitude without consorting with Gen. David H. Petraeus just goes to show everyone Obama's haughty resolution. Even though Obama is planning to meet with General Petraeus, the question that needs to be asked, if Mr. Obama really intends to listen to such advisers, why would he lock in his position in advance?

I am beginning to believe that no matter what Obama says or does his adoring fans are either too short sighted or to dumb to realize just what a danger he is to the future of our country.

I'm not exactly sure what kind of experience people should have in order to be President. Surely, being governor does not always prepare a person to govern a country. As far as what could be catastrophic to our political and economic infrastructure, can anyone be any worse that our current President? I also don't believe that Barack Obama is arrogant. He tends to be a bit stiff and serious, but that, in no way, indicates that he thinks he is better than anyone else. Perhaps people are mistaking his confidence for arrogance, but I'd rather have a confident President than one who is undecisive on issues.

Experience is not the only trait. Obama wants change and he will have and has now a host of advisors we need a good speaker. Too bad tony blair could not come over to run for president. Unfortunately he is not a us citizens. Jimmy carter did not have a lot of presidential experience neither di jfk Nixon had a lot of experience and see what that did for usa

Barack Obama should be given a chance at the White House. I guess only then we can really judge him as the future track record will prove. I believe he will also be eager to prove his worth and correct all the mess President Bush has created, like the faltering economy and the Iraq war.
