He went peacefully in the morning

I am very sorry for your lose.

Our dog died of br-east* cancer one summer day in 2006 and she had been with us for almost nine years. My father adopted her out of the street because she was nice though a stray dog. A smart dog, she was already an adult, like around three years old, and skinny and kinda stinky when she first came in the house. Weeks after, she became a family member and a loyal friend. Now, every time I hear stories of dogs dying, I would always feel traces of sadness that came with that fateful day that we lost ou dog to cancer. Her memories would come back to me and I would miss her as always. Your dog is luckier that he went away peacefully unlike ours who had to endure a painful passing because no vet is around or available at that time.

I'm glad he's at peace. Being able to do it at home is a wonderful thing and so much less stressful than loading him up and taking him to a cold room at a vet's office. I'm sure it's also a lot more private and comfortable for everyone! I'm sorry that you had to go through it at all, but it sounds like you made a good decisions and your buddy went with dignity. Can't ask for much more, in the end.*hugs*

That is so sweet that he got to be home with you and his doggie mates when he went to sleep. It will be very hard for you for quite a while and it will take alot of strength to endure it. I know you have other dogs, when you are feeling especially sad, just go get one of the other ones and give love to them. They will love it and it may make you feel better.

Sorry for your loss. I still miss my dog that got put to sleep almost four years ago. They really are man's best friend and part of the family.

I know exactly how you feel I lost my Norman and the abscence of your little friend creates an emptiness...Norman was 13 yrs old ..He had a good life and he will be waiting for me i know this!!
