Letting my friends cut my hair?  | |  I have long blond hair that falls half way down my back. It is probably the prettiest and girliest part of my appearance. But as summer starts to heat up I am getting antsy for a shorter, cooler style. Should I go to an actual salon or let my friends take scissors to my head? With both options I still have the same risk of them cutting too short - the salon because the stylists never listen and my friends because they have no clue what they are doing. Should I save a buck and let my friends have their way with my locks?

If i would be mad at anyone for cutting my hair to short i rather it be the person at the salon then my friend. My mom also told me when going to the salon tell them you want your hair a little longer then you really do because they end up taking that extra off. For example if you want 6 inches off tell them you only want 4 or 5 inches off. I found that really did help when getting my hair cut.
