No!!!! Not Just Whipped Cream!

Louise, one of the reasonsmyLot is so great is that we discuss everything and anything!

I love strawberries dipped in chocolate. They're also great on a scoop of ice cream. I prefer peach or mango ice cream, but almost any would do.

You can make vanilla meringes and stuff a strawberry into the middle of each.

Boil up a handful until the water turns to a thick-ish sauce, and spread it over angel cake. Yu.

Hi Louise, I buy strawberries and cut them up and put them in a sugar free glaze and then spoon them into a baked pie crust and then use whipped topping if I want something extra on it. The pie is great without any whipped cream.

If you like peach or apple cobbler you might like strawberry cobbler. It is my favorite and you make it with a simple peach cobbler recipe and use strawberries instead. It is good either with or without whip cream.

I don't know many fancy recipes, cause I love strawberries as such too much!!:)
I just eat them on their own, or together with quark/cottage cheese or yoghurt or homemade 'sour milk'... (to make a healthy 'fruit yoghurt' - I never buy those artificial ones! & yoghurt=lower calorie!!:))

I read somewhere that it is indeed good to eat strawberries together with diary products, but forgot why. Maybe you can google/blackle it?

Also, it depends if your husband does a lot of physical work & doesn't eat much fat & other protein, then cream may be okay for him. If he does office/sedentary work, & sits all day on the couch, or already eats too many 'fatty' foods or has a heart/veins/cholesterol/weight problem, something with less fat might indeed be better..
(I don't know what is it with men, my dad is crazy about strawberries with whipped cream or 'fruit salads' too..!!:) but he's usually too lazy to whip it up himself, so he stays without!:))
My Mom used to put strawberries on baked stuff too, but I prefer them raw, & they keep more vitamins & good stuff!!:)
I also love 'em as 'ice cream' - just frozen strawberries & nothing else!! Or, you might wanna add some yoghurt or such too..:)
