Are friends really of bad influence?  | |  I love hanging out with my friends. My whole family, even my aunts know them. They know how much I love them, trust them, and happy when I am with them. They're my friends since high school, and we've been through a lot of things. Some of my friends drink alcohol, but instead of doing the same thing I opt to resist or at least tell them to stop.
On the other hand, I have a cousin. Seems to be my total opposite. She got pregnant at 14, had her baby (by the way she's so cute and lovely) but never learned. It seemed like she does not want to take care of the child, and keeps going out with her friends. Ariives at their house in the midnight, drank. Due to this, my family from time to time, istills to my head that I should not go out with my friends requently.
And I always get aggravated when they do that. I always say to them that I am not like my cousin and her friends are way off my friends.
But why do some people tell that when someone exhibits a not so good attitude, they tell "She's following the footsteps of her friends?" Why is that so? I always feel offended when I hear that. That is because my friends are really good and I care for and love them very much...

| | | | | | | | 1.  rbailey83 (589) | 3 months ago |  no i don't think friends are a bad influence, some of the actions of friends may not always be agreeable, but we all have a mind of our own, it is up to us to make the choices we make, there can be the wrong type to hang out with, but even so you can hang out with them but not make the same choices as them.

I have some friends who drink alcohol, but I never considered them as bad influence. Most people really see is the bad side of a person. Even if some of my friends drink alcohol, or some people see it as their bad side, they have far many good sides that people dont see. You are friends because you have something in common.. but that doesnt mean that every attitude of your friends is same as yours.
