2. Xdrowninghavocx (2620) | 4 weeks ago | My life does. I could never find anything that I am truly good at, besides playing guitar. And I didn't even discover my music skills at an early age. When I was in my teens I started writing heavily and I guess I just found my calling. I didn't choose to be a writer, it kind of happened overnight. And I'm somewhat glad that it did because people have enjoyed what I've written. And that's an awesome feeling.

| 3. solrani (24) | 4 weeks ago | I use writing as some kind of therapy. When I feel angry and disappointed, I open my diary and write on it. Perhaps you want to try it. Writing helps me as tool of anger management.

| 5. jmarieh69 (74) | 4 weeks ago | There are many things that spark my imagination. It can be anything from a passing thought to being in a waiting room lissening to someone elses conversation. Now on the other hand once I get that spark going it might take some time to develop out the idea, but either way; it can be anything.

6. Adoniah (1734) | 4 weeks ago | I can write on the spot. Even poetry most of the time. I write about what I know or have experienced, and I have done a lot in my life. If you write about what you know, it is always more believable and therefore it will sell better or just please and audience more. The only problem I have is that I need spell check because I am dyslexic and cannot spell worth a hoot. I rarely write in public and rely heavily on my computer's ability to save my neck.lol

7. cbreeze (385) | 4 weeks ago | I like to write on real life experiences or subjects that I am passionate about. Those are the topics that get my creative juices flowing. Once I get into it, the writing kind of takes on a life of it's own and I am just the typist. It's wierd but it's a good feeling.

8. wrcurtisjr (229) | 4 weeks ago | I can write on the spot. Usually it is something I have seen...like the waterfalls my wife and I went to over the weekend (Our anniversary was over last week the 17th but we had to spend the time this weekend--10 years married 12 years together) Dimensional Perception (The one getting published) happened when i saw something out of the corner of my eye and turned to look but nothing was there. It went on from there. I can't just sit at the computer or paper and not write, it feels weird. If I am not writing in forums or emails I am writing on my next book. The reason I have 7 books finished. I have so much respect for all of you coming into forums and asking questions or saying what you feel. Heck that is also what stimulates my writing...the things that people are saying or doing like in a restaurant...or library. Have fun writing...write on!!

9. my_january (339) | 4 weeks ago | There are 2 moods that inspires me to write- sadness and happiness. Whenever I am in the extremes of either moods, I can write on the spot, it's as if I can paint with words, creatively... Beautifully! But when I am feeling a little casual, laidback or just fine, I can still write, but you just have to give me some time to do it. When I am experiencing either one of the emotions I have mentioned, there's this spark inside my heart and mind that makes me overflow with ideas, thoughts or words, giving me a wonderful literary piece I cannot really do when I am in my casual mood. I always take advantage of those moments, when I am happy- I write. When I am sad- I write.

10. ruby222 (2319) | 4 weeks ago | Often you can be doing something quite simple like washing the dishes and some very good words will pop into your mind, but its always when you are tied up that you think of things that you think are exciting!I can be full of inspiration, and then sit in front of the screen and go totally blank!but thats life.I tend to think of myself as more of a waffler than anything else, though lol sometimes I do write something that makes some sense!!I used to like poetry, well I still like poetry,I specifically love Dylan Thomas ..and another massive favourite is Rudyard Kiplings `IF` the words make me want to sob!!also one major favourite is the code poem for the french resistance, written by Leo Marks, another one that makes me weep...but thats life!!I think im more of a dabbler than a writer, and I dont aspire to conquer Everest and write a best seller or anything like that..i am just happy enough to have the time to sit here and garble away doing what im doing!
