I learn new word by listening with my ears. When someone talks to me I listen and learn.How do you learn words?

Hi to weichunlu and others (who are reading this),
I learnt some difficult words II mean spelling) by chunking them into pieces. For example for learning the spelling of Lieutenant(pronounced as leftanant) I used the technique of seeing it as two i.e. 1. for the spelling and 2. for the pronouncation. That is for example in the case of LIEUTENANT, I use the technique of chunking like this - lie-u-ten-ant and note that its pronouncation is leftananat. Thats it. After I heard about trained memory I am using the techniques of trained memory to learn the new words. I started a memory forum to improve memory power by the methods and techniques of trained memory. I collect as much as details and contents I got from the Internet and put all in one umbrella to make a forum called Memory Improvement Forum.
