Couples - Compatibility

He is a male and you are female -the strongest opposite forces in paly- so you are having mutual attraction which always be here to keep you together whatever be the other traits behave like,LOL.So far bathing and showering are concerned, there is no problem, because you do your part at different points of time.
But we, my wie and myself have seldom noticed having stark opposites like you two have. Of course, we will have to delve on the matter more observantly .

Hi, I also agree with you. I don't believe in that not until I met my husband. We're also exactly opposite. I am a type of person that easily annoyed unlike him. I only noticed those differences when we're married but I think its good for us since it gives spice to our relationship. Now I believe that tow different people makes sense.:)

i haven't married:) but me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and a month now. we're too opposite. every time we talked, we can't meet half way because he's from the field of medicine and i belong to humanities. we quarrel sometimes but we see to eat that we compromise on things. giving up is not the solution, you just learn to compromise things.:)

It is always good to have a partner who is quite different from you. There would be a lot of things to talk, debate on, laugh with. A nice feeling.

LOL My husband and I are COMPLETE opposites...going right back to how we grew up and what country we are from (I'm Canadian and a former street kid from the age of 13, he's American and was raised in a Christian, semi strict, large family for example)..I have a very dry sense of humour, he doesnt...he likes the house warm I like it cooler....he is quite proper..I'm SO NOT LOL...we both like our solitude but oddly enough in very different ways..I drink, he's a reformed alcoholic...I'm VERY open and honest about life, my past, my thoughts etc whereas he likes to keep things to himself....We've been together for goin on 11 yrs now and have been through many things that statistically speaking SHOULD HAVE split us up numerous times over...our opposite personalities and whatnot have been a good thing BUT can create serious issues at times as well....However, 11 yrs is a pretty good stretch IMO

ha..ha..We too fall in the same category. We both have different likes. He is from a big family. So he likes to have small get togethers very often. But I like more timings to be spent with my own family rather than gettogethers. He likes to watch action movies. But I hate these movies. I like romantic movies. He wants to watch TV or listen to music with a high volume. But I don't like to increase the volume. These are just a few titbits...The list won't end if I go on write. But still you know, life is all about understanding and adjustment..Only then life will be smooth. And we both like the small arguments and fights.And to be frank they add spice to the relationship. I think life would be much boring if we get a partner who has the same likes and dislikes. Life may become mechanical. It is not that partners who have different likes and dislikes have less compatability..It means that they have more fun and enjoyment adjusting to each other.

Opposites do so attract...like a magnet.

As I look back over the guys that I have tried to date and thought that my future was in someone like them...yeah right they all left to heartbreak. But when my husband asked me out I thought to myself this isn't really someone that I would of thought of dating...I mean he was so smart and put together. Some may have even called him a geek. But guess what it turns out that we clicked and were married 1 1/2 years after our first date.
He can cook...I can't
He can do math in his head...I can't
He can fix anything...I can't
I can clean better then him
I can decorate better then he can
I know more about animals then he does
I know how to tend to the girls better then he does
Oh and so many other types of things that we have going on. But either way we are very different but yet someone we compliment each other and that makes it pretty darn great

I agree that opposites do attract. But you can't only settle with the differences of two people. They have to have more similarities. Your similarities make a connection to both of you. It will further the bond and relationship that you have together.

The things you mentioned as opposites are quite minor, so I would venture to guess that you have a lot more in common than you think. I think people who are attracted to one another are mainly attracted because of what they have in common. I also think that we look for qualities in other people that we feel we don't possess. For example, if you shy and wish you were outgoing, you might be attracted to someone who has that quality that you feel you lack.

My husband and I are opposites. I have known this from the first time I met him. He is very out going and up for almost anything. He never meets a stranger.
I, on the other hand, am a bit more reserved. It takes a while for me to come out of my shell around new people.
He would rather hire someone to do some things...putting furniture together, installing sound equipment, setting up the computer, that sort of thing. I would rather do it myself.
When I have free time, I want to spend it at home. He wants to be out and about, even if it is just going to Wal-Mart to watch the people.

These are just minor differences. We have had many arguments, many discussions and many laughs and tears together. Some of the troubles we have had together would, and have, torn others apart.
We deal with them by being friends first and foremost. Most of us wouldn't dump a friend over some of the things we dump our spouses for, would we?
Anyway, being friends has kept us together for 30 years.
