Hard Boiled Eggs  |

 Okay I have never done this before. I usually over cook my eggs if anything and if they are too over cooked they taste funny. Anyway I was boiling some eggs for my salad tonight and when I started to peel one it was not done, under cooked. My question is can I put them back on and boil them after I had them sitting in cold water or wouldnt that be a good idea.

My no fail way to hard boil eggs is put them in the water when it is cold. When the water starts to boil set the timer for 10 min. They are always fully cooked.

 dianel (4437) | 4 months ago | Yeah thats the way I do it but after coming to a boil i remove them from the burner and put the cover on for 10 min. I must have looked at the clock wrong.:(

| 8. heavenschild (1441) | 4 months ago | It does not hurt to eat an egg if the yolk is not all cooked but I think the white should be. I put them in the cold water and then set the timer for eleven minutes right away and they are almost always perfect! My son likes them anyway!:)
Sorry you threw out your eggs...I sdo hate food waste but it does happen from time to time!

Sure you can. I have and they were fine. But also in saying that, I like my boiled eggs a little, I want to say raw but that isn't what I mean. I like them a little soft in the middle, where the yolk isn't totally hard but not runny either. But how do you recook the one you already broke the shell open? You would need to fry it or put it in the microwave.
I just had a really good cooked egg the other day, and it was cooked in the microwave, believe it or not. First time I have ever eaten an egg that was cooked in the microwave that wasn't rubbery. Just crack it and put it in a bowl and add some salt and pepper and beat it a little and then spinkle some grated cheese on top. Put it in the microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds. Oh so good. Now that is the only way I am going to cook my eggs. I really liked it.
