First home loan  | |  Sorry guys, wasn't sure exactly where to put this discussion. I need your help - we live in Australia and have heard that a house with a small amount of land that we like may be coming on the market in the next week or so. We haven't owned our own place before, and we live rent free in a house provided by my husbands boss. We have a fairly big car loan (spoilt ourselves because we don't pay rent or mortgage) that has almost 3 1/2 years left on it, and also a personal loan that has 3 1/2 years left on it. We would love to buy this place if it does come on the market, but to afford it we would need to consolidate our other loans in with a home loan....I don't think we could do this before we have had a home loan for 6 months, but we can't get enough money while we still have the other loans. We have no idea how much they will want for the place, but we know what we have been told we can get won't be quite enough.
Can anyone tell me of somewhere that might be able to help us out?
