how to survive diabetes

Yes, diabetes is hereditary, if your parents have it, its a good chance that you will too. Most of my family on both sides have diabetes, I have 4 siblings and so far 3 of us have it. Your life isn't that abnormal you can still do the normal things, you just have to watch what you eat, you do have to stay away from sweets, you can have some but not too much. If your overweight it helps if you can lose a few pounds. Do your parents watch their diets? Some people think that as long as they are taking pills or insulin they can still eat what they want but it don't work that way either. Nope, having diabetes isn't abnormal. Let's just say, its your share of highs and lows. Everyone has highs and lows. This one is your low. Others have their own lows too but it may not necessarily be diabetes. You can always live normally. It's all in your mind. If you think you're living an abnormal life, then everybody else will think you are.

In the meantime, you can engage into sports while you're still young. You can change your taste preferences and train the way you eat.

My grandpa died from complications of diabetes. One of his legs was amputated. My dad didn't want to have diabetes so he changed his taste preferences. Dad is in his late 50s now and thank God he doesn't have Diabetes until now. I also do Martial arts once a week and treadmills every morning and little by little change my taste preferences. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

You are not alone. There are also lots of diabetic survivors too. I can only site you one example, if can only research on one active Filipino singer named Gary Valenciano (Gary V.). He had diabetes since he was young but he fought diabetes through dancing.
