 I guess few people use pencils nowadays, well, i am one of the few people cause i need to underline some key points on my book, and when i can learn them by heart i will erase them again. so in my handbag, you can always find an auto-pencil and an eraser.

He does a lot of math and needs them for that, and he likes that you can get them in such fine sizes that he can write very small. I prefer pens but use pencils occasionally for marking things temporarily.
