I Almost Used Kerosene Instead of Cooking Oil!!! email this discussion to a friend?

I had a nearly disastrous experience two weeks ago when I was about to prepare dinner. It so happened that we all went home late on that Friday evening because of the school activities of the kids that I was late in preparing for dinner.

When I checked the kitchen shelf for cooking oil, it was just unfortunate that there was non left so I let someone ran the errand to a nearby grocery store. I was still doing other chores when the house-help arrived with the oil container he put in the shelf. I noticed that inside was a lightly colored substance, I thought of as another brand of cooking oil the store was selling so I just finished up my work and was ready to cook dinner. I heated up the frying pan and as I was about to pour the "cooking oil" onto it, I smelled something terrible as I opened the container lid...it's KEROSENE!angry

I almost panicked on the thought of possibly blowing off the entire kitchen because of the incident, I was just mad because I thought it was the house-help's carelessness that could have caused the catastrophe. The house-help then proceeded back to the grocery store where he bought the item to clarify about what happened.

I was even more angry upon the next turn out of events: the owner of the store who personally handed the substance to him was blaming our house-help for not clearly stating what he wanted to buy and the worst part of all: when I checked the money for change, it was lacking P10..I was just fuming with anger that I could have gone to his place and throw that kerosene out at his store!

I was really upset about what happened but I was pacified by thinking of such big blessing of having spared from such accident.
