Feedburner provieds an RSS (really Simple Syndication)for your website. It means that it makes it easier for your visitors to know if you have updates on your site. If you have a blog it makes it easier for your readers to follow you because instead of checking your site for new updates they just receive it through e-mail or through a reader (one webpage were you could read all your RSS subscriptions) like Google reader.Also doing this increases the chances of getting more visitors to your website because you get more exposure from it.

what is feedburner?
feedburner is a website service provider owned by google which helps you create the RSS Feeds of either you blog or your website.

what is RSS FEEds?
RSS means Really Simple Syndication. In simple terms it is w web address that is assigned to your blog after the rsss is created and a feed reader goes through that url again and again in a certain amount of time interval so as to give an alert to the subscriber about the blog/website being updated or not.

A Feed Reader for example is Google Reader which goes through all the website/blog feeds that you have subscribed to and gives you all the latest updates of the blog in the Reader.

How to get started with feedburner?

1.after you have logged on to th website that is www.feedburner.com enter the address of your blogs url or your website address in the beach coloured spcae which says enter your blog feed or url below and click next.

2. now you would either getting an option of selecting an available feed on your url or be asked to register with them. if you get the opion of selecting an rss feed then select any one or else go to step three.

3.after you register you will have to edit the feed address and title if you want. i would suggest you do so as it will make it more convenient for you.

4. after you have done that you need to copypaste the feedburner code to anywhere on your website where you want the feedburner account to appear and thats it you are all done.
