My daughter inlaw  | |  My daughter inlaw is 19 years old a very sweet girl,she lost her mother 2 years ago in a motor cycle crash,at the time my daughter inlaw was expecting her frist baby, Well a year later she had another baby, all this time her father was in jail he is a heavy durg user,He got out a few months ago and of he got busted for drugs again and will be going back to jail soon last week he overdosed,he damaged his liver and get this my daughter inlaw wants to give him part of hers.I understand that,thats her father and she loves him,but I dont want her to do it what if something bad happens what would my grandsons do without their mom.Am I wrong for felling this way?

You also have to understand that she wants to help her father but she also has the same fears so let her work it out for herself and support her no matter which choice she makes. I think that the procedure on her end is a lot less risky but it might help if you did some research on it so that both you and she can be as informed as possible. You might want to gently remind her that this gift will most likely not cure her father of his addiction because I suspect that that is what is truly motivating her...a desire to give her father a very strong reason to stay sober and drug free.

Does she already know if she's a match?
I realize that her father may not be the best person in the world, and in fact it could be not so great for him to be in her life - but it IS her father.
I think that you should let her know that you're worried about it, but be careful what you say about her dad - even if she's said the same thing herself. You may end up pushing her away if you push too hard.
Organ donation is usually a very safe operation, so in all likelihood she'll be just fine if she does donate - but if she doesn't, she may never forgive herself, or you, if you change her mind.
Be there for her if she needs your advice, try to be understanding, and don't feel bad for feeling the way you do. Best of luck.

By the way suppose your daughter in law donates her liver, which would be a great scrafise but if he dosent stop his habbit of drinking, all of her scrafise will go in vain. So it would be btr to pray to GOD for the best.
