being in japan |
|
When i was in my early 30's, my company sent me to Japan to as a trainee and when i got there, i was so amazed that Japanese are really discipline people. Where in this world can you see a policeman patrolling the city without a gun on his waist? only in Japan. Where in this world can you see a city, a park, home building, a farm, food or even the simplest thing that has been carefully studied and made in perfection? Only in japan. How i wish i could be there again together with my family which of course minus the earthquake, lol.

1. salonga (3707) | 5 months ago | Well I've not been to Japan but I simply admire their discipline based on your post. I also do believe Singapore is a county with a lot of discipline as well. Look how prosperous and clean this country is. Indeed a country with disciplined people tends to be prosperous don't you think so?

| katwoj (32) | 5 months ago | you know how disciplined they are? imagine in a traffic light, the light is green but you can see from a distance that no car is coming and yet they are not crossing the street, they just waited the light turned to red and then they crossed, imagine that? they really follow even the simplest rules.

salonga (3707) | 5 months ago | How nice! Here in the Philippines, most of the drivers are very fond of beating the red light. The most undisciplined drivers are in this part of the globe and no wonder this country is not prospering.

scammerwear (598) | 5 months ago | Its not that Singaporeans are discipline, its just that we have strict laws and more policemen then criminals. The policemen here carry laser sighted revolvers, tazers, night sticks and for those in airport security, MP5s. Tells you a lot for a country where guns are outlawed and those who own one face life without parole.

|
|
salonga (3707) | 5 months ago | Oh I see! So it confirms what I've heard from my Pastor that the punishment for law breakers are so stiff that it really restrains one to break the law. I think our country should learn from Singapore. Look where Singapore have gone... very progressive!

2. vidhyavini (1738) | 5 months ago | Hey hi. I am from India. My sister and her family is now in Japan for more than 5 years. She loves Japan a lot. She always tells us about the people in Japan. They are well disciplined, well mannered and all. Even for getting into the bus, they will immediately form a queue itseems. I wish i could see that once. Hehe. The only reason why she wants to come back to India is the cost of living. She has two children. Studies for two children in Japan will be more costly. She never minds about the earthquakes also. hehe.

3. ishralene09 (1345) | 5 months ago | Yeah...wow I envy you. It's my dream to live there and have a job there as a game developer for Square-Enix. My parents are there now, and yes the earthquakes are really giving them headaches. But then it's the best place for me. Next year I may be going there with my brother. I'm kind of excited and not, because I want to go there first time with my girlfriend. Anyway I also believe Japan to be like that, always striving for perfection, I think it has something to do with their Shintoism affecting the culture. Anyways thanks for sharing that.

4. sharay (953) | 5 months ago | I have never been to Japan, but would defntly like to go there and more eager to go there after reading your post...i dont mind living amidst earthquake as long as the people living around us are, as you said, well-disciplined which in itself explains the characters of people living out there, no wonder they survived the world war and one among the best now

5. maximax8 (5901) | 5 months ago | I have always wanted to visit Japan though I have heard that it is expensive there. I read a travel guide that suggested a traveler with $1000 could spent 67 days in India or 14 days in Japan. My friend works for a tour operator and she went there on a cut price deal. She loved it there. My brother-in -law went there on a business trip for three months and really enjoyed his time there. Most of all I would like to fly into Osaka and then go to Kyoto. I would get a train for one week and try to see as much as possible in a short space of time due to the high cost of accommodation, food and transport.

7. cher913 (9191) | 5 months ago | i am not japanese, but know a few missionaries in japan and know a little bit about their customs and all. they are very well organized and their customs are very different than here. i especally like the way that people are treated - there is a lot of respect shown to every one; not like here at all.

8. crisesand (921) | 5 months ago | Yes, I think they are generally disciplined people. They have manufacturing firms here in the country and you just can see their culture from their management. I think I saw somewhere on a television that traffic enforcers there are females, and they don't have any weapons. If we could adapt that trait of discipline, what a difference isn't it?..

hiddenwing (1115) | 5 months ago | That is awesome! If u traveled to some other country, u will find the policemen there patrolling the city without a gun either. Sometimes, we just know the news that something terrible happened in other country. However, most of the time People enjoy peace in so many countries. U know what? We don't need to lock the door in my hometown. I don't mean there is no thief in my city. At least, few thief is in town. Will u can enjoy the peace.

10. hiddenwing (1115) | 5 months ago | Japanese r labourous and discipline. They love their own country though few Japanese consider foreigners as nobody! There are good people as well as bad people in every country. Even homer sometimes nods. However, most Japanese have lots of good manners including polite, friendly and kind. They always keep their streets cleans. U have few chances to find a sale cheater. For example, the prices of a bowl if noodle are all the same no matter u r in a alleyway or on Fuji. My grandpa is Japanese while I am Chinese. Yesterday is history! Chinese do have lots of things to learn from Japan. The world is just awesome if u love the whole world. At least, good manner has no nation boundary, I guess!
