Well you know you are a damm lucky person. you son actually belives so much in you that he told you everything. Well i am also just 20 yrs old and i hide everytin gfrom my parents, even stuff they wouldnt mind because i really am not that close to them becasue they never let me be that. Though i love them alot and even they love me alot but then there is this comfortability and trust which you and your son have which me and my parents never had. I think most teens don't tell their parents things. They are kind of going through an exploration period in their life, trying to break free from their parents, trying to be independent and do things on their own. And that's why they are like that. I'm sure all teens get scared sometimes, and wonder if what they are doing is right or wrong, but most teenagers choose to talk to their friends or other teens. It's hard to talk to your parents, that's how it feels like to be a teen, unless you have a very friendly relationship with your parents. Most teens feel more like parents are mom and dad that set rules and tell you what you should or shouldn't do, but are there for you when you fail. It's a different relationship with friends, friends don't tell u what you can or cant do, they only give advice.

But anyway, i think you have a very good son that he told you. It means he trusts you, and he's owning up to it, he felt wrong about it. Try not to be too shocked, it's good he is coming clean. It's just hard being a teenager sometimes, all the pressures, bad influences, our society!

Yeah. I've always had that kind of relationship with my parents. I think i could tell them anything I've done and they would be honest in telling me how they felt about it. I was pretty wild as a teenager. It took getting into serious trouble to straighten me out and a good woman as well.

i'm 60 and i still haven't told my mom the things i did!

i wouldn't want to hurt her.
my father was a city policeman, so my "crimes" were not that bad.
my father was very strict as he saw terrible things which happened
to kids i went to school with.

underage drinking 3.2 beer in west virginia was about the worst
i did in high school.
oh, and skipping school a few times.
now, when i married and moved to san francisco in the late 60's
well, need i say more?

you are so fortunate that your son has 100% trust and faith in you.
and i am very glad he turned out ok.
i'm glad he no longer smokes. i'm glad his girlfriend turned him
around. i'm sure you had a hand in this, too.

A little of the "bad" stuff I did has come out over the years, but since it was all with my husband it doesn't really matter. I guess it would be different if she'd found out I did stuff with another guy or something, but since we are still together anything I did was ok..lol.

I don't know if I can tell my mom the bad things I did, not even with my dad. I just don't feel comfortable expressing my sins to my parents.

Well that is good he trust you and stopped before that could put him in real danger. I tell my mum whatever i do, believe it or not i don't do much evil stuff so i hardly ever have anything to hide.

Its true that teens hide all such stuff from their parents. I have passed through the same stream, even today I am not in a position to talk with my parents about all those stuff, the reason is relation, after an age the relation between parents and kids must be changed, they must behave like friends. There must be healthy relation between parents and kids from their childhood or else it then becomes very difficult to handle when kids grow up to a matured stage.

i never did anything wrong that i h ad to go tell my parents about that!
