Anyone who left, who wants to go back?

Small and lacking opportunity... that was Rye in a nutshell. My graduating class was 25! And I think that we were the largest at the time.

There's a lot about Rye that I miss, living in a large city. There, everyone was friendly. Here, everyone ignores you as best they can. There, you knew your neighbors, and their neighbors, and the people on the other side of the hill. Here, no one seems to want to know their neighbors. There, rush hour was 3 cars on the road at the same time, or a herd of cows crossing. Here... rush hour is stand still traffic with more cars than I care to think about and honking horns and accidents.

Sometimes, the magic of the hometown is more than just some strange unnameable thing. Sometimes, it's the spark of humanity and the milk of human kindness.:)
