Sodium chloride is plain table salt as we all know it, what about bleach?  | |  Bleach is known as sodium hypochlorite. It is an antibatericidal and an anti-sporicidal as well (kills bacteria and spore producing bacteria). But it is not used as an antipseptic like 70% isopropyl alcohol because it damages the skin, unlike alcohol which does not. The alcohol is not a sporicidal however, so it does not kill spore producing bacteria but only "freezes" them temporarily.
