How much time do you spend on housework?

It vaties from day to day. But I will say around two hours or so.

one look at my home and you'll know the answer to that INSTANTLY!

yes, i hate housework. even living alone with 2 cats, i find it needs
redoing all too quickly. dishes pile up as i have no dishwasher, laundry needs
done when i have nothing to wear. shopping gets done when i have little to eat.

gosh, i sound like a spoiled teenager!

my mother lives alone, too, and she cleans for herself. it's always
immaculate.

when i think back, i know i've always hated housework. the ONLY thing i always do
is to clean the litter box. i get "presents" if i don't do this every other day.

It depends well last time my son cleaned up the house, he didn't want me to do anything, that was because he wanted me to pay him for doing it, so I did but when I clean it may take me like 15 minutes to do some of my house work.

We have kids so it seems like we are always doing housework. From laundry to washing clothes those two alone seem never to end. Picking up toys happens multiple times each and every day. When I lived by myself I never really seemed to do housework. Oh how things change with a family.

it depends on the chores.. for example, in laundry, i mostly spend 2-3 hours.. for the cooking, 1-2 hours.. for cleaning the house,4-5 hours..

As little as possible... LOL
No I do it as I go along!!! I'm not as houseproud as I was when we only had one child. Every week I keep saying I am going to get houseproud again, but it goes along the wayside.
I like to think we live in a lived in house and we are a happy family. Plenty of time to become houseproud again later in my life

I must say that I love doing housework. I would not have been a housewife if i did not enjoy it. I think I am more suited to do the chores at home than to work in an office. being a housewife means you are the boss and you decide on what has to be done and when. I don't run around completing the housework but I take them slow and steady.

i make sure I do the work taken in hand properly and I am not done unless I satisfy myself doing it. Cleaning and dusting of the house takes around 30-40 minutes. I live in a condominium with 2 bedrooms, I living room, 2 bathrooms, 2 w/c, 1 kitchen and a not so small open terrace. I guess 40 minutes is good enough to get the house cleaned properly.

I do the dishes after I am done with my cooking. They take round 25 minutes. I make sure I do the dishes on a daily basis. Doing too many dishes at a time is too boring and irritating. By the way doing the dishes without the dishwasher is the least favorite activity of mine.

I do the laundry once in two days and on a daily basis I hand wash the undergarments only. Now with a baby in the house there are too many clothes to be washed daily and I don't find it to be a good idea to wash the baby's clothes in the washing machine. So that takes a lot of time. I am washing clothes daily for around an hour.

well my time on household chores vary

sometimes i do nothing sometimes i do a lot

but what i think is a lot may not be a lot to other people.

i vacuum most of the time. i do the dishes... but some times i dont i just wash my own one.

but when i am studying i have NO time for this as i come home from college or wherever and then start studying no time for food let alone household chores

It depends on what type of housework. But I tell you... household chores or housework is a never ending task. Its always there. The question is... how much time are you willing to do with it. Before, I used to spend lots of time cleaning the house, cooking, washing dishes and laundry. Now, I spend less of my time doing those tasks.. To hell with the dirt and dirty dishes...lol... I just want to rest, lay down in my bed and watch tv or movie.

Maybe a few hours a week since the only thing I do is clean my room and well im pretty slow at cleaning while it will take a lot of people 30 min it takes me 3-5 hours to do lol.
