1. DrMario (396) | 3 months ago | Its been too long in coming and doesn't go far enough. I'm not saying it should be used for balls and strikes, but there are some other things I'd like to see it used for such as close plays at the plate and did the 2nd baseman actually have his foot on the bag with possesion of the ball when turning a double play. I know, the games are already three hours long and Instant replay would add to that, but I see so many bad calls and players being given the benefit of the doubt it would add a fairness factor to the game. I am glad they finally brought baseball into the age of instant replay, I just hope that its use will be expanded to rule on some of the other questionable calls that sometimes happen in baseball.

2. txcheerleadr90 (247) | 3 months ago | Thank God. Finally the MLB won't be left out. I get so pissed off when they can't see what really happened and call it anyway. Its also not fair to the coach's who really can't argue about the call. Finally, it all will change!!

3. babostwick (1578) | 3 months ago | Balls and strikes would never be reviewable even if you add more to instant replay. Maybe very close calls to the plate would really make the difference but as far as how long of a time limit can they look, give it two minutes at the most. If a decision can be overturned based upon evidence, then so do. Let's see how this works with Home Runs and go from there though I don't expect many challenges to happen.

4. aville44 (125) | 3 months ago | im really excited they made this move. it was much needed for the mlb. now umpires can relax(a little bit), and maybe focus more on other calls. i think they should review every play were a run was either scored or not scored by the umpires call. like, safe/out at home plate, fair/foul home run, etc.... but im cool with what we have now... and maybe that other stuff will come later

| 7. slanted (81) | 2 months ago | I think this article - http://www.lookoutlanding... - put my opionion into words far better than I could ever do myself. To quote: Baseball is a competition between two teams. At the end of the day, the team that makes fewer mistakes will wind up the victor. With that in mind, why would we ever want to allow for some margin of error from a third party? What purpose does that serve? People can talk all they want about how the want to protect the "integrity of the game" or whatever, but I guarantee you they're not talking like that when they lose a baserunner to a blown call.
