 hello all of my good friend's here at Mylot.
the other day, we had a couple move in across the road. haven't seen any signs of any children at all. but anyways, what i was thinking about doing was making them a cake, and putting welcome to the neighborhood on the top of the cake and decorating it up some kind of way. then when i finished the cake i could walk it over there and welcome them to the neighborhood and give them their cake.
so tell me, do you think that the new neighbor's would like to receive a cake like that?

I don't have much of a sweet tooth but if you baked a cake for my family when I moved into the area I would be grateful and pleasantly suprised and the kids would demolish it in no time. This is off the subject some but when we moved out in this area our youngest was about 5 at the time and before we even got all of our things moved in she saw a swing set in the back yard next door and she went over there and rang the door bell and ask if their kids could come out and play. hahaha To this day they are still friends.

thanks for your very nice words. i still haven't heard anything from Mylot concerning my account. whatever. and i haven't had time yet to make the new neighbor's anything, and i wouldn't consider getting together with any of my neighbor's that i live around here like that. lol you know? so after all that has happened to me i do not know if i am going to make them something and walk it over there or not. i am not in a very socialable mood these days. thanks for responding.

Think of it as a way of advertizing, they will remember you when they need a cake and also when family and friends need cakes. I have been meaning to tell you something.When my mom was decorating cakes, she got herself a big sewing box. The top tray that are normally used for spools of thread, she used that to put her tips, the inside sorage was used for the other misc. Everything stayed nice and organized inside.

| 10. carolbee (4704) | 3 months ago |  I really think that's a great idea. You can start off on the right foot with the new neighbors and atleast get acquainted. Would be nice if they had kids the same ages as your kids.
I remember when we moved in here 35 yrs. ago. Neighbor's came over and introduced themselves and someone brought a desert. We had a Welcome Wagon representative also come around and give us a bunch of things so we could see what was offered in our neighborhood either free or at discounted rates. It was so exciting.
