do you let people get to you

I am a very sensitive person maybe even a little too sensitive but i am open to not only my own feelings but other opeoples feelings and yes it does seem that people do get to me easily as I am so sensitive, I know people have done and saif things to me i would never do or say to anyone else...and i think most people care what others think about them, I know i do..

For people that don't know me, I could give a flying flip what they think of me. They have no idea who I am, what I stand for and what I believe. So screw them and their thoughts.

I have experience before things were said by people that I love and respect and found them hurtful and I cried.

Hi Sisco, When I was younger I did used to take things people said to heart and it would upset me but these days I just let it all go, they will think what they think anyway and some say it. I am who I am and have total acceptance of that so if they don't it is their problem not mine. The power of the spoken word is great though and can affect many in a negative way if they allow it to happen so I will not allow it and move on. Ellie:D

It is always easy to say i don't care what other people think or say about me. But you may have to lie to your self if you say this, because every human being wants to be recognized, you want to be respected and you can get hurt whn you are ignored, you may even get more hurt when people who don't know you create a wrong impression of you i their mind. We are all humans it matters a lot what people think or say about us. We only have to create the tendency to get over the hurt whenever it occurs.

I stop caring a long time ago. At first, I would be sad or whatever if someone say something or criticize me. But then later, I found out there are LOTS of sore people out there willing to drag you down with you so I stop caring unless it's someone who's actually wanting to do it for my own good aka my family.
