 i am using firefox 3.0 and often it comes that firefox3.1 is available asks to install
one of my friend said that beta versions are for testing
and using will cause errors in ur computer
can i update firefox?

Regardless, I don't believe they send out update alerts for their betas, so whatever it is it should be fine. On a side note, I am using 3.0.1 and it works fine. Mostly....just some odditieds with flash, but that's only because it is closed....
