Would you change jobs after 13 years?  | |  I have been at the same job since I was 18 and I am now 31. There is a chance for me to get a better job (more money and state benefits), but I am scared to death of leaving the familiar. Starting over and learning a new program is why I am having doubts. Would you leave the familiar?

If you have a good future with your present company and you are happy there, then stay, but if you are in a dead end job and have the skills necessary to excel in the new position, you should seriously consider going for it. You get up every morning and go to work to earn money and work towards your future. If this job isn't going to help you to advance, it's holding you back.
