Sylvia Browne-You Fraud!

I don't believe in psychics and i'm not at all surprised. She only tells you things you want to know and will never find out. If she tells you something and "it happened". Clearly think about why it happened, and if it would happen anyways. I assure you it would. There is no such thing and she is only hurting people that believe in her and will eventually only hurt herself.

I don't really believe in psychics. I have never believed any of the stuff that I have seen her say on Montel. I normally change the channel when she comes on the air. $750 for a reading over the phone is ridiculous. Even if I did believe in psychics I would not pay that much.

I'm not a fan of Sylvia Brown in particular but the notion that "real" physics do not charge for their "gift" is a foolish one. I know some feel that way, and I respect their right to not charge for their time- it's their time, but to impose that idea on others is unfair. We all have gifts. Artist, chefs, dancers, healers (whether we're talking about doctors or shamans) etc and we all live in a world that requires money to exist. I am soon to be a midwife. I would gladly attend women in labor & be paid in chickens, magic beans or nothing at all, but the bank that holds my mortgage doesn't have a chicken to cash conversion chart. In the US we have a free market system. People are not nor should not be dictated to as to what they should charge for their services. If I feel my time is worth x and my clients agree with me, there is nothing wrong with charging it.

I am actually like Sylvia Brown and have read her book. However, what she may be doing is atrocious but it doesn't necessarily make her a fraud or not psychic. She may have gathered too much bad vibes that she turned bad. LOL! I really like what she wrote and its something that is really acceptable to me and holds so much possibilities. If what is said about her is true, then it is really such a pity since I am such a believer in psychics and the untapped capabilities of the mind. I did a lot of tarot reading too years ago and I never ever charge a thing. However, I stopped because I got scared of how accurate it could be and I also get to absorb the positive or negative vibes of the people I am reading with and I don't really like what I saw most of the time.

I absolutely, totally and completely agree with you. I cannot stand her as she comes across as such a cold, callous and completely unfeeling person plus her attitude of superiority completely turns me off. How anyone can believe this woman is beyond me.
When I was a teenager many, many years ago in Scotland and engaged to be married in a few months to a rather locally well known young man I went with some friends to visit a psychic and get a reading. Much to my astonishment she told me the marriage would not take place but that I would cross the ocean and marry a blue eyed dark haired foriegner...and...result .. no marriage to my fiancee, traveled across the world to North Africa, met and married a German with blue eyes and dark!!!
So I do believe that there are some gifted psychics but as the one I saw was so on the mark I will never go to another one again as I do not want to know the future in case is it not what I want.

I used to be a die-hard Sylvia Browne fan. I bought all her books (yes, I still have them) and took in everything she said as the truth. I watched her on Montel every Wednesday without fail and was amazed at the way she could just look at someone without knowing them and predict what happened or what was going to happen to them. I even wished I could go talk to her personally because of a problem I had. But, after a little research on my own... I had already seen the sites you mentioned.. and a lot of thinking, I came down to earth really fast! There is more negative out there about her than there is positive. I got to thinking, how can anyone really "see" the things she does? Does she really go to "the other side" and come back to tell us about their huge rooms and the angels and the other numerous things she has mentioned in her books. I believe there are true psychics out there, but they don't charge and arm and a leg to give you a reading. Anyway, I've become more and more skeptical over the last few months about her and her "powers." Now that I can look at her more objectively, I can see where she just seems to say whatever the other person wants to hear and just brushes everything else off. I have my own thoughts about religion in general and have been studying the Bible more and I can't see where alot of her thoughts about God and heaven are true or even come close.

Lets say that it indeed is all true...what a cryin shame.
First of all the folks that seek her out are in need of answers to the many questions that they have. People that are desperate to know that the loved ones they miss are indeed safe and sound and around them everyday.

To charge $750 for a reading?? That I find to be outrageous as how many people these days can afford that amount of money without taking a second mortgage on their homes or skipping some bills that month. All so they can have some comfort.

This girl I used to work with got all excited when she heard Brown was coming to Tacoma and when I revealed what I knew about what a fraud Brown was you should have seen her reaction; I might as well have told her I could fly. She was SHOCKED with disbelief. It threw me for a loop because I had never met a Slyvia Brown kool aid drinker before and I didn't even know they existed. I have since learned that people WORSHIP this woman and every word she utters and that REALLY freaks me out.
