I recently just had a baby 7 weeks ago. The problem is that I had gained 64 lbs in my pregnancy. I have tried to exercise and eat healthier. The problem is that all I crave is junk. And even when I am not craving junk food I eat too much good food. I need some tips on how to curve my appetite. I have only lost about 20 lbs since I have given birth and need to lose another 40 lbs. Any suggestions?

1. ayenacsi (325) | 5 months ago | I'm also trying to lose the weight I gained while I was pregnant. My baby is now a month old and I am still a long way from my target weight. What I do is I walk in the morning, drink lots of water and I breastfeed, it helps they say to lose weight. I also crave for junk food and I love coke, so its kinda hard to lose weight. But I don't try to push myself too much, I know it takes time to get results so just hang in there. Good luck to the both of us!

barbiegirl13 (1161) | 5 months ago | Yeah I guess it takes 9 months to put the weight on it may take longer to get it off. I am happy to hear that you breastfeed. I tried this too but with 3 other kids it got so hard to feed the baby all of the time. Every time I would go to my bedroom to feed the baby I had 3 other kids opening the door to see what I was doing . I gave up and went to formula. I don't really walk the baby a whole lot right now because it is always in the upper 90's here and the baby has red hair and snowy white skin. I am afraid that he will become overheated and get sick. He was only 4 lbs 12 oz when he was born and still is under 7 lbs. So I have to take it easy on him. I cannot wait 'till the weather gets a little cooler so that I can take him on frequents walks. 2. kelly3 (4873) | 5 months ago | Someone here on mylot just suggested that I eat more protein. They said it would curb the cravings for sweets. I haven't had time to try it yet; they just suggested it today. But I'm going to try it. My doctor told me I should be eating more protein anyway. Kelly

3. aquarina (132) | 4 months ago | The reason you are craving junk is either because you are eating too little in the efforts to starve yourself into weight loss, or you are not eating enough healthy fats (you need to eat healthy fats to lose weight and stay full longer) or you are eating maybe too many carbs--even if they are healthy low fat carbs. Basically, your blood sugar levels are not balanced causing cravings. I recommend you to go on the zone diet. I just wrote a good bit about it in another discussion thread. Type "zone diet" in the search bar and you'll get more info about it. GREAT diet for someone who has problems with cravings. good luck to you!

I do eat a lot of carbs. but I think that my major problem is all the time that I spend sitting on my computer. My someone just needs to come into my house and take it out. I think then my problem with weight will be solved.
