How is the Hurricane effecting any of you?

Well I live in Great Britian and we had a huge down pour of rain earlier, it was really beating against the house and you colud see it bouncing off the road. The sound was very loud and we also had thunder and lighting... really scary.
I don't know if this was so because of your hurricane.

Well, We have not gotten anything yet. I live in Illinois and the hurricane Gustav will be going through us starting tomorrow and lasting up to 3 days. Thank God for us up here we have not had rain in weeks and all of our grass and vegetation is dead or dying.

Its been in the high 80's here but this weekend we are supposed to be getting rain starting Thurs-Sun from Hurricane Hannah! That should be fun NOT!

It does rain during and after some hurricanes. In our country, it's called typhoon. And if you're asking how it affected us, I'll tell you a story..

In 2006, we were visited by a typhoon. It was sometime in August. It brought along with it a strong gusts of wind and rain that seems not to stop. It rained pretty hard for several days, paralyzed the traffic and brought about flash floods. There were some casualties as reported the the disaster coordinating councils. Another typhoon, in September hit us again. It was much stronger and hit my hometown the hardest. There were flash floods too and landslides. It brought down electricity and water system for months. The devastation was horrid. Thousands of people died, and I lost almost 50 of my friends and former classmates. It was a tragedy.

So, rain (with typhoon) does not only affect me, it changed me.
