Do You Go Through Your Friends List Frequently? |
|
I don't have time to look through my friends list often. I tend to add almost anyone who wants to be my friend. I'll delete people who send me any kind of spam though. But today I decided I would go through my friends list. I noticed a lot of people were inactive. I deleted anyone inactive right away. That cleared off pages of friends. And then I deleted anyone I didn't recognize. Now I only have 6 pages of friends. But it looks so much neater. So what about you, do you organize your friends list or you just don't worry about it?

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | That is true that inactive people do return. I just figured I'd run across them again somehow later if they came back and were still interested in the same things. I guess I probably showed up as inactive for a few months when I was away. For a long time I just had absolutely no spare time.

3. mykmari_08 (1457) | 3 months ago | Personally, I have never denied any friend request to me as far as I can remember. Almost always, I accept every friend request I receive because at the back of my mind, I don't want my friend request for other mylotters to be denied. In fact, I also don't bother checking on their profile before or after approving their friend requests. It's not that I'm not interested but honestly, I only have a limited time for using the company's computer for personal purposes like surfing the internet. Some say that friends do help in acquiring a lot of responses for your discussions. I do believe in this eventhough it's not my habit of checking who replied to my discussions. Whether they are people who directed friend requests to me or not, I don't make this a reason to have a grudge on my existing online friends. I know that they are not always available or they might be preoccupied with a lot of other things to check up on my discussions or to reply to them. I hope that they do feel the same way as I am, because I also am not twenty four hours online here. In fact, my opportunity to use the bank's computer may even be shortlived as the company I am working with for almost four years now is planning to close shop by the end of the present year.

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | I don't have time to check profiles either. I don't deny friend requests normally, I just delete them when they spam me. If they don't spam me, they'll probably stay until I finally clean out the list (which so far, happens once a year I guess). Hopefully you'll continue to have a job and internet access. I don't get to go online at work, but at home every so often I spend some of my spare moments here. Which are few and far between.

4. kayeshayne21 (3929) | 3 months ago | i dont check or look up on my friends list... i dont even add friends... they are just the ones who adds me up. i usually go to my account and then i start to respond to some of the topics that interests me.

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | I guess I should have clarified. When I say I add friends, I mean that people click to add me and I approve the requests. I rarely have actually added anyone. If I add anyone, I really really really like their discussions and want to follow what they're posting.

| 5. chrissu74 (5) | 3 months ago | yes i agree. last week i also check my friend list and delect some who are inactive and make te list look more neater.in fact the inactives are just take up the space in the friend list so it is well done doing that.

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | That's how I felt about it. I didn't need a bunch of people just taking up space to look like I had more friends. I figured more will come and I do not need to leave inactive people on.

6. ElicBxn (8909) | 3 months ago | I went looking for a "friend" because I wanted to turn her notification off - maybe I'll turn it on AFTER the election, but 95% of what she's posting is political and I'm just annoyed by them. While I was on there, I deleted a lot of people. I started on page 10 - cause I knew I had accepted her after that and when I started I had a FULL 21 pages of friends. I am now just about 4 on page 20 so that was almost 30 people I deleted.

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | I must admit, I have deleted people before because of their discussions. Normally I don't, but a few times it was just that they were so stuck on one topic or they had a bunch of really bad discussions that I didn't want to have to sift through.
| |
|
|
ElicBxn (8909) | 3 months ago | I figure that after the election I'll probably go back in and turn her back on and see if she's still so "one note" because I didn't have a problem with her at first. I have another friend absolutely stuck on WWF and about half of her posts are about that - but its the same thing - if I see its that subject, I just delete it.

7. sarazeng (164) | 3 months ago | Hi Pigglies! I seldom go through my friends list. Well, I am new here and only add a few friends now. Surprisingly, when I check some poster's profile, I found many have a long long long friends list!!I don't know how to organize it if I add many in the future! Maybe someone can answer this question? Thanks!

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | Just click the friends tab (in between "messages" and "photos") and you can organize your friends. Hope that helps! Welcome to MyLot!

8. ajesh_pullad (1360) | 3 months ago | Hi friend, i hardly delete friends in my list. That is i scarcely delete them. I have 825 plus friends. Eventhough it may have inactive friends. But i never do this. Because many times inactive friends came back after gap. Its wrong to delete them. Thanks

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it's wrong to delete anyone. No one is forced to be friends with anyone else here. I'm sure I've had people delete me before, I just didn't know about it.

Pigglies (3827) | 3 months ago | I don't mind if there are people I don't know on the list, but I do like to make sure I still see the discussions of people I wanted to keep up with. My actual friends from my area stopped posting here months ago, but I keep up with several people on here.

10. polaris714 (233) | 3 months ago | I've only been here for a few months, so I only have 2 pages of friends. Not enough so I would want to delete anyone at this stage. Maybe when I've been here a year or so, I will have the right to delete some friends. But that's something I need to keep in mind.
