hi friends the use of the cell phone with a camera is banned!!

I actually know of a lot of establishments where carrying a cellphone with camera or bluetooth is not allowed. As you pointed out this is specially true about call centers and BPOs where the clients value privacy a lot.

well this is know, Even i experienced this on 21st august 2008 i with my husband and daughter went to shiv temple at bangalore, for taking camera and mobile inside they charged us, for camera it was 20Rs. and for mobile 10rs. so i thought why this . we are not going to do anything which will harm the temple. we just went for the Darshan . yes but for the defence organisation and also for the huge multinational company it may be important not to leak out anything.

They are banned in alot of gyms and fitness centers due to privacy matters in the locker and shower areas.

Thats really possible, in some casinos in our palace, bringing a cellphone with camera is really not allowed, but at least it is not being confiscated, they just put some tap in the camera so that you can not use it..
It may seen a bit strict, but with some organizations where they have sensitive informations i think thats the only way they see to protect their company.
Places like banks do also have sensitive informations but the use of cellphone with camera is not banned since its really up to the employee to maintain confidentiality in his work and his personal life.

Yes I know some establishments that ban cellphones. Some theaters ask you to leave your phone with them because of the design of the theater wherein the smallest sound could be heard throughout the theater. For me it's ok for those cases but of course at work I think that it shouldn't be banned because in case of an emergency how would you be contacted? Maybe an alternative is to leave it to your immediate superior who is also in the same office as you so that if something like that happens you could attend to it.

ive ran into this in several stores also.. nothing you can really do but obey it unless you want your phone taken..

yeah,since there is some threat for using such electronic instrument,security in all public places and corporate, even in pilgrim places also banned.

I could understand the company is just being careful from any damages that would possibly happen and by doing that maye its their way of making sure that their important data are safety.

I think there are places that have to have that rule for security reasons. Personally, I think it's a good idea.

Yup,you said it right my friend cellphones with camera and features are banned in many MNC like specially in call centres,BPO,s.I had worked in one multi nationtal company before,we were not allowed to keep our cellphones with us but in locker.It was a very strict rule,clients value their privacy.One is not even allowed to browse internet in working hours.Anyways,now I don't work there anymore so,am free do do so in my new company.Happy myLotting!
