You are absolutely right about that.. This world should be free from these lung killers. There's too much pollution already. Your view is what I just realized when I decide to call it quits with smoking. I admire people like you. Cheers.

I feel the same way, kelly! I sympathize with people trying to quit, but I cannot understand why anyone starts in the first place! Unless you started back before the negative side effects were known, there's no logical reason to start. But people are constantly picking up the habit, and I don't have a clue why.

Yes I hope the smokers will realize that too. Its not just about the family but its for the whole world..for all of us.

Yeah I dont get the government why they don't propose a law against it. Its not just bad for the health and its also bad for the world. Also, they attack drug addiction but they don't see that there is addiction in cigarettes too and its more deadly. Hope they do something about this because wuth the weather we currently experiencing..global warming..if we dont act upon it, this world will hurt us deeply.

Aye aye mate. Yeah as much as possible I want to post a discussion that can contribute in making the world a better place to live in. This is not just about earning money from posting, its also all about creating an impact from our discussion that we post. I've been doing online thingy lately and we just finished the mega thirty concert last month. It did pretty damn well. I'm still with convergys though but I'm planning to resign already.

yep, guess you are right.. and i actually have a pact with myself that i will quite soon.. especially when i already plan to have my own family. i want to be the best mom for my kids..:)

I do not smoke cigarettes myself, but my daughter smokes at least a pack of cigarettes a day and sometimes more. My ex-husband, her father, has emphysema and on one lung due to smoking. He smokes 3 packs of cigarettes a day. He went through hypnosis and that didn't help him, he still smokes. I am trying to get my daughter to quit smoking or at least start to cut back, she has a 3 year old daughter and I know she is tired of smelling cigarette smoke.

I just wish that 95% of the world population will be smoke free individuals and to the other 5% will be the tobacco companies that eventually will decide to shut down their factory permanently once and for all.

Wow, i used to be a chain smoker too. I remember the days when I used to work with Tower Records. My colleagues and I just have one pack each everyday and we meet up with record sales reps in a coffee shop or something to order stocks, and we just keep on puffing while talking and sipping a cup. Unknowingly, we finished the pack and went on to buy a next one. I average one pack of Davidoff a day during those times. It alsmot wrecked me, that's when quitting started to entered my mind.
